After Years of Waiting, I Finally Registered an Emoji Domain: 😍.uz for Just $2 /Year

Many years ago, I also owned an emoji domain: 🥱.st.

However, the renewal fee was over $15 per year, which felt a bit expensive for something that was mostly just for fun. Since I didn’t have any long-term plans for it, I eventually decided not to renew it.

Today, there still aren’t many TLDs that support emoji domains. The ones I’m aware of include .ws, .st, .fm, .to, .cf, .ga, .gq, .kz, .ml, .tk, and .uz.

After comparing both registration and renewal costs, .uz turned out to be the most affordable option. That’s why I finally registered 😍.uz.

I registered it through ahost.uz. To be honest, the overall experience wasn’t great. The website feels quite outdated, pages load slowly, and the registration process requires uploading a passport along with a handwritten signature, which makes it more complicated than most domain registrars.

That said, it does have one major advantage: .uz domains are incredibly inexpensive to register and renew.

If you’re simply looking to collect an emoji domain or want to experiment with one without spending much money, .uz is probably the best choice available today.
